Mute Swan Male
This bird was dipping its head in and out of the water. Maybe for a drink or perhaps looking to see if there was any food below. A pair of these swans have been at Ferrymoor nearly all winter. Perhaps they will produce some more young this year. This is the male as you can see by the large black bulge on the front of the head.
